Terms of Use

These terms govern access to WaCommerce and the tools used to discover stores, create orders, generate verifiable tickets and continue conversations through WhatsApp.

1. What WaCommerce does

WaCommerce provides digital commerce infrastructure for independent sellers: catalogue pages, discovery, order records, verifiable tickets and links that allow a buyer and seller to continue a conversation through WhatsApp. Unless WaCommerce expressly states otherwise for a specific transaction, the seller — not WaCommerce — is the supplier of the advertised goods or services.

2. Seller responsibilities

Each seller is responsible for:

3. Buyer responsibilities

4. Orders, tickets and WhatsApp

An order or WA-Intent Ticket records information generated through the WaCommerce flow and can help the parties verify what was requested. A ticket is not, by itself, a tax invoice, a statutory guarantee or proof that payment or delivery has been completed. WhatsApp is a separate service governed by its own terms.

5. Payments and delivery integrations

Where WaCommerce connects to an external payment, authentication or delivery provider, that provider may apply its own terms, eligibility rules and privacy practices. A status shown by WaCommerce reflects the information available to the platform and does not turn WaCommerce into a bank, card issuer, courier or the seller of the underlying product.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use WaCommerce to:

7. Suspension and service availability

WaCommerce may restrict or suspend an account or listing when reasonably necessary for security, suspected fraud, legal compliance, repeated complaints or a material breach of these terms. We work to keep the service available, but maintenance, external providers, Internet failures and security incidents can cause interruptions.

8. Mandatory consumer rights

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where New Zealand consumer law applies to a seller-buyer transaction, rights under legislation such as the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 remain available. The seller remains responsible for the obligations that apply to it as supplier.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product, integrations or legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the version presented on this page.
